Me & You

The words of the legendary Persian poet, Rumi, resonate deeply: “I came to you without ‘me,’ so come to me without ‘you’.” Yet, when you find yourself straddling two distinct worlds, two disparate cultures marked by perpetual political confrontation, how does design take shape?

I embarked on a journey of designing a series of posters, drawing from my personal experiences, the ongoing contemporary events in my homeland, and the repercussions of political conflicts in my daily life. These critical posters are imbued with the theme of humanism. In a society governed by a religious regime and besieged by external pressures like sanctions, human connections have been eroded over four decades. The toll of these hardships is acutely felt by my family, friends, and fellow citizens, who grapple with the weight of stress in their daily lives.
